It’s not a bad idea to load your backlist at home, before you head out on your journey. There really is nothing worse than arriving at your destination, just to realize that you’ve forgotten to take something important with you. It’s a good practice to use your backpacking checklist while you’re still at home, loading your backpack. This following checklist should be essential for most three season backpacking trips. Of course you should feel free to add or delete any items you wish based on what time of year it is, the purpose for your trip, or the destination.
