The stag handles are formed from the shed antlers of Wild Stag Deer and each stag-handled knife is truly unique, one-of-a-kind tool. Each scale (handle) is boiled, stretch and dried over a period of weeks. It is then individually cut and hand fitted to your knife. Depending on the model, brass rivets are then used to attach the scales to the knife and they are welded together. The rivet heads are then filed and finally burnished off for the best fit and function imaginable. While this old-fashioned manufacturing method is more expensive, we think this is the way to make a one-of-a-kind knife. The handle edges are rounded for comfort.
