The Five Worst Mistakes When Camping – And How To Avoid Them

Posted by Jesse Nattamai on 5/16/2013 to Hiking

Whether you’re enjoying a camping trip near home, or on a vacation far away – spending time in local and national parks can be stress relieving and invigorating. In fact, a British study found that people who meandered through nature felt a boost of morale. This was in stark contrast with those that strolled in a shopping mall; their self-esteem actually plummeted.

Planning a camping trip doesn’t have to be challenging. However, knowing what camping style suits your family and becoming better prepared can allow for a more enjoyable time, and can even save your life.

Posted by Jesse Nattamai on 4/15/2013 to Safety & Survival
April showers bring May flowers…as well as tornadoes. April and May are the peak tornado months in all fifty states, and it’s important to be prepared. Damage paths can be as vast as fifty miles long and one mile wide; causing massive infrastructure damage as well as fatalities. Make Your Own Apple Cider Vinegar

For hundreds of years, apple cider vinegar has served a variety of purposes. From a health tonic to a cleaner and even a diet drink, it’s clear that this helpful vinegar isn’t just an ordinary salad dresser. The unpasteurized and organic apple cider vinegar with the ‘mother’ in it has the most health benefits, as the yeast and live bacteria can help balance bacteria in humans, and even in livestock. If you go through a good amount of it, you may want to consider making your own.

I WANT A DO OVER

Posted by Jo Hannah Afton on 6/7/2012 to Rants & Raves

So, our economy is tanking. The dollar is losing value. I say, SO WHAT. Let the dollar drop and let the systems that have been empowered by it, fall. Let’s face it. Political systems are not the problem here. The people that have come and gone in offices of authority here in America and abroad have simply fallen victim to the one thing that money has created in society: GREED. And that greed is fed by the willingness of all the people of the world every time they open their wallets. Every time you spend a dollar on ANYTHING, you are feeding a monster that now threatens your way of life, your freedom, your personal choices, your health, your environment, your very existence.

Think about this very hard for a moment. What would happen if the dollar collapsed?
